Step AWAY from the computer!!

I have finally gotten past the title for my book, and am working away to make it happen. This has pros and cons.

Pros: I am reading some of my past work, and it is like reading an autobiography that is making me laugh.

Cons: I am reading some of my past work, and it is like reading an autobiography that is making me laugh.

I haven't laughed so hard at myself in a long time. But I can switch from happy to serious in a heartbeat.

POLL!!!
Should religion be discussed?
Or not?

I need to stay away from any distractions, so I am working on my laptop, where I am not connected to ANYTHING! No email, no IM, no Skype.

Sign up in the index to receive a notice when the infamous book is ready to hit the press. I promise, you will belly laugh :).

I think you shouold discuss anything you want to. Religion can be dicussed from a philosophical point of view, why not? I have of course signed up for notification of your book release. Well done, my friend, I am proud of you.

I agree with DJK (surprise!) Religion is considered important by so many people that it assumes a de facto importance to everyone, even those of us who think it's all fairy stories.

Coming from a very non-religious family, I was able to experience many different forms of religion while growing up through our friends. I joined them in different churches and traditions. I am not a church goer myself :)...I pray to Mother Earth while sitting in a "church" of trees...LOL. Because I was raised so openly, I love discussions and insights on different religions. We can learn so much from other's traditions.
Sadly, I seem to be meeting a lot of people that feel so strong about their faith that they believe everyone else has to follow and be saved. That is where I draw the line. I don't want to be saved, I feel fine the way I am. Lately, I feel as if I am living in the Bible Belt instead of California. I agree , maybe I am giving it more importance than it warrants, pumping up the Fairyland :).
