A Spot for Women

For many years, I would say: "I wish someone would tell me what I am supposed to be doing so I could stop all these meaningless things and get cracking!"

I would consult healers and magic people to tell me the road to take. (BTW, a true "see-er" will not give you this answer, they will only give you the tools to find out yourself.....oui?). I would beg my mother to make me do something. I would start something, just knowing I found my "it", just to discover that just like love, it takes more than a thrill to make it last....

I have found my path. I know what I a meant to do, now I just need the tools. I am here to make women strong. I am looking for the perfect piece of land, the place where this women's center will blossom:If the colors make you smile, excellent. I colored this after it came to me and just felt so right, I had to hurry and put it on paper to share. Thankfully, there are crayons strewn everywhere in my house.

This is a retreat. A place for Circle. The houses in the middle are made of cob, and are cozy little cottages for the women. The big houses are for myself, and my friend (who is an herbalist), and there will be space for other spirits that are part of this plan :). This will be a place of peace, healing, education, rejuvenation, being a goddess. It will be a place for women to gather. Just like on my website, www.goddessinthegroove.com, a place for women with opinions....and here I will add " & spirit".

I am throwing this out to the universe! If you know of 5-10acres of land that need spirit (not money), I am your woman!

Gratitude List

Not only on Thanksgiving should you be thankful.

Wise Dr. Wayne Dyer once said something that stuck with me (don't quote me, the thought is important here!):"Take every tragedy or disappointment in your life, and turn it into a learning opportunity.".

Wow. What a shift of attitude! So, next time shit hits the fan, you get a huge unexpected bill, you go to fill up your gas tank, you buy organic food in California and loose your breathe from sticker shock....remember.....

Make it a learning opportunity.

:)

Seriously, it made me think back to the some of the trials that happened in my life, and I must say that good things have come from them. 10 years later for some, but good. The car accident that broke my back, but slowed me down enough to retrack my life and bless me with a beautiful family and a crazy dog (who, BTW, passed his first OFF LEASH test in the park today!!! GOOD BOY!!). Event recent "kaka" happened for a reason, and opened my eyes both to truth, and opportunity.

I made a new "thank you" list. Things that I am thankful for right now. I pull this out whenever I feel like the world is against me and everyone is trying to piss me off personally.

I will share some of the things, but not all:

1. My husband (who drives me up the wall, but has patience for me being me.)
2. My kids (ditto, but I love them to death. They are amazing, creative, smart, and oh-so-much little ME!!).
3. My dog (yes, not only for dog lovers. We do love our dogs, but I swear, Rex was sent to me to teach me patience, and a little humility. And pride....)
4. My family (Mama, Oma, Erna, and all the people who raised me so well. I just love 'em to death too.)
5. My tribe (My women)
6. My brain. It is good. It searches, thinks, and works when I need it to.
7. My past. Both good and bad. It makes me wiser.
8. My passion. My drive to get what I need.
9. My creativity. I don't know where I would be without it.
10. My roots. They run deep, and old, and they come through when I need them.
11. My iMac (yes, it is my line to the world. I love my computer to death too...and am eyeing a newer MacBook so senior can get a much deserved break.
12. food. I am happy that we can always have good food.......

Now go make your list. And do please share......
xoxo

Our breakfast guest

My favorite, hornworm eating insect.....I think this is the 5th generation that is living with us, an obviously someone told her we were "totally" ok with sharing our table with a praying mantis...She comes and goes as she pleases.

No , that is not my butter knife. Yes, we always have breakfast with earthy garden tools on our table...

If I don't see you, you don't see me......

This week has been a frenzy of lost receipts, voided checks being cashed, missed deadlines (that I found when I was going through my papers in order to feng shui this casa), heated discussions, etc. This morning is the last straw. I wish I could take Rex's example:

Gawd, I wish I were a dog right now.......

Going to the park, please leave a message. Beep.

House Zen-Show me the Money, or keep me from going INSANE!

This is Part 2 of my big Feng Shui makeover. If you want to see how it all started, check out Part 1, and Part 1 Update .

I know I said that I would do this in weekly increments. Don't hold me to my word, as that is not happening. My life is too chaotic, that is why I am Feng Shui'ing and Space Clearing...see? :) If you are attempting this yourself, you can either go room by room in order starting at your front door, or you can do it like me. Priority. Whatever is screwed up the most in my life gets attention first. I would love to show my very tidy Health & Family area, unfortunately my children were creatively making a video with my camera and somehow changed the settings. Now, if I were more organized, I would know where to find my instruction book.....I did find some treasures out there!! A beautiful blue glass lantern, a beautiful blue glass water bottle from Italy that expired in 2003, several art supplies times two, etc...I also found some B&W poster of Rasta kids, I am passing these on, email me quick if you want them!

As were are going by urgency, I am tackling "PROSPERITY" next, which happens to be in my purple (yeah...good prosperity color!) kitchen. I will show you pictures, and here my kitchen is in a pretty good state. Normally that little table is aching under STUFF, and so are the counters, as we do not have dishwasher (an electric one that is, this is why I have children :)....).

My goal is to clear off that table, as I like to sit here and have coffee, or use the table for baking, PlayDoh making, etc. As you can see, we don't have alot of cabintet space. We have 3 cabinets and a very interesting "junky" drawer to clear out. Once it is all done, we were going to paint, but I am not ready to let go of my purple, so I will do some enhancements that I will post.

Simultaneously, I am going to clear my bedroom, my KNOWLEDGE & SELF HELP area (snort!! No wonder I am so damn air-headed!) as I go through the heaps of stuff to find not only my camera book, but also my beading tools. I cannot bead any Goddesses right now as my pliers and tools have VANISHED!! I think it is a sign to get my butt in gear, as my bedroom is supposed to be my ZEN place. This used to be my office. When we made the switch, I swore I would organize and declutter the big built in shelf that you don't see, as that warrants a post all of its own as I tackle it. It will take me a weekend....

This is supposed to be my "altar" area, with my Goddesses, statues, oils, candles, etc. Instead, it is a catchall for pens, glasses, crap, crap, crap :(. Plus, this dresser has to go, all the drawers are messed up. I am on the prowl for a new dresser to paint.....and make my Goddesses happy again. Don't want to have them be pissed at me...

Clutter, clutter, everywhere......

This is sad. I left this desk in the room so I can leave my Goddeses and beads out and work on them here. As always, any clear space is taken over by PAPER ...ugh.

Send me a jingle if you are joining me. We could be Clutter Busters together :)...Or send each other our grossest finds? If you are feeling inspired, check out my favorite books.
Much love,
Heike
