When I read this blog from Tangobaby about Kelaya, a young mama who was begging for money in the streets of San Francisco, I was intrigued.
How often do we walk or drive by the homeless people with their signs, looking away or just ignoring them completely? We make them invisible. There are days when I am so frustrated with my own life, when I see their "asking" as just another annoyance. I just say "no". But sometimes, something tugs me, and I turn around, go back, and give them what I can.
That is what Tangobaby did. She turned around, and now she has become Kelaya's voice. Grab a Kleenex, and take a looky-loo.
Much love,
